Campaigns
Our Campaigns encompass our three core causes- preserving the environment, animal welfare, and improving health. We start locally, but our efforts have global effects. Our goals are to sustain and better our natural world, create a conscious community and encourage humane choices. We seek to accomplish these goals by choosing campaigns near and dear to our hearts that will have the greatest impact on our mission.
We do this with our annual events such as the amazing, fun-filled "Northeast Florida Veg Fest" and our "No Meat March" challenge to go meat-free for a month. Our "Veg-Friendly Dining Guide" is a growing compilation of the outstanding veg options in our city and surrounding areas. Included in the guide is "The No-No's"- a list of restaurants that serve veal and foie gras, two of the most inhumanely produced animal products available. The "Delicacies of Despair" campaign aims to end the sale of veal and foie gras in Northeast Florida. We will touch on all of these topics and more on our informative and inspiring radio show and through our videos airing Saturday nights on CW 17's i Know JAX.
We are a volunteer-based organization, and our efforts are greatly enhanced by the support and involvement of the community. We encourage you to get active with our campaigns!

If you choose to eat at a Jacksonville restaurant that serves these veal or foie gras, we ask that you politely ask the manager after the meal to remove them from the menu. If you prefer, you can use one of our letters or cards to quietly make the request. We believe the more people who let their voice be heard, the more likely the restaurants will listen and choose a more humane path.
Please download the letter of your choice (or both) to your computer and make appropriate changes to include the restaurant's information and your information in the designated areas. See our list of restaurants that currently serve VEAL and FOIE GRAS and either mail to them or drop it off. Also, you can send us a request for a CRUELTY-FREE Dining Card, print the card(s) out or pick them up at any of our events or participating businesses. FIND OUT MORE ➨ |

Veg-Friendly Dining GuideWe know it can be hard to eat out when you’re trying to be good to your body, the environment and of course animals, but since The Girls Gone Green love to eat - we were able to compile an extensive list of veg-friendly meals in a not-so-veg-friendly town (not one dedicated veg-friendly restaurant...yet). The site includes photos and recommendations for patrons looking for vegan food items and highlights veg-friendly events broken down by region.
