The GGG Julie Watkins and Debra Simpson
Julie Watkins and Debra Simpson

The Girls Gone Green Radio Show

Join Julie, Debra and great guests every week as they uncover the dirt on green and moral issues facing society today.  Described as a show that is "fast-paced, full of wit and pulls no punches," these gals aren't afraid to tell you what's on their minds.  The hour long show gives the dirt on the environment, your health and human-animal relationships while continuing to stay upbeat and fun.

We are now on iTunes!!  Subscribe and listen!

Check out our past shows covering topics from Florida's environmental problems, to the power of your poo.  Listen to our rants on hypocrisies of environmentalists to FDA trying to hinder natural medicine!

THE GIRLS ARE:

Julie Watkins

Julie Watkins was a broadcast meteorologist for about ten years.  She has forecasted weather for the stormy shores of Virginia to the snowy mountains of New Hampshire.  True experience came when she worked in Florida during the busiest hurricane seasons in history.

Last year she was able to follow her true passion when she left TV and started The Girls Gone Green Radio Show.  She felt media outlets were missing a real call to action!  She wanted to do a show that was both provocative and humorous.  She felt it was important to awaken peoples' minds with unfiltered information in hopes that any decisions made would be educated ones.

Julie's loves running with her rescued dog, Sophie, who by the way is the best dog in the world.  You can find her trying her hand at just about everything including golf, boating, hiking, learning japanese, etc.  Basically a jack of all trades, but a master of none!

Debra Simpson

Debra Simpson is a green event planner living in Orlando, Florida. Naturally born an environmentalist, conserving the beauty of our world is a very important part of her life. She believes that any true environmentalist must continuously educate themselves on ways to lessen their eco-footprint.

She became vegan a decade ago when she learned the realities of meat production and no longer wanted to contribute to the oppression of animals.  She founded and directed Orlando's first Veg Fest in 2005.  Veg Fest was an amazing success at educating people about the healthy aspects of veganism.  Plan your next vacation in Orlando during October, so you can attend this wonderful event!

She is an animal rights activist, fosters homeless animals, and speaks to others about how they can do more to help.  She enjoys spending her free time kayaking while removing trash from our waterways, practicing yoga, and enjoying healthy meals with friends.  You can friend Debra at
